The Government Pre-IAS Training Centre, Amravati, was established by the Government of Maharashtra with the primary aim of providing high-quality coaching and training for candidates aspiring to join the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), and other prestigious civil services. Located in the historic Old Biology Department Building of the Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities Campus, the Centre stands as a testament to the state's commitment to fostering excellence in public service. The Centre offers comprehensive training programs entirely free of charge, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder the preparation of dedicated aspirants. By employing an ‘Integrated Approach,’ the Centre enhances the cognitive and analytical skills of its trainees, preparing them for success across all stages of the UPSC examinations, including the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview.Read More ➡

the nation. For the purpose we have modern and well equipped infrastructure which includes academic
building, well-equipped hostels for trainees, a comprehensive library with over 2,400 books and free
internet access.
To create a stress free environment for the students, Pre IAS training institute provides free cost
accommodation with monthly stipends, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder talent.We are
committed to serve those who are early buds officers.
Our visionary leaders, Hon. Minister of Higher and Technical Education Shri Chandrakantdada Patil,
Additional Chief Secretary (Higher and Technical Education) Shri Venu Gopal Reddy, Director of
Higher Education Dr. Shailendra Deolankar and Joint Director of Higher Education, Amravati Division
Dr. Abhay Khambhorkar are pillars of this institute. Their guidance has been instrumental in
strengthening this institution and expanding opportunities for our aspirants.
Public administration forms the backbone of governance and the Indian Administrative Service has
been instrumental in policy formulation and implementation since 1950. While many aspire to join
these prestigious services, success demands rigorous preparation, unwavering perseverance, and
expert guidance.
Established on June 17, 2013, the Pre-IAS Training Centre, Amravati, was founded by the Maharashtra
Government's vision to nurture civil service aspirants from Vidarbha and beyond. What began in
modest classrooms has now blossomed into a state-of-the-art facility within the serene campus of
Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati.
I feel very proud to share that over the past 12 years, this centre has produced 20 officers in the
All-India Services, including 2 IAS, 2 IPS, 9 IRS, 2 IFoS and 4 CAPF officers. Additionally, 39
students have been selected through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, while 51 others have
succeeded in various competitive examinations.
