Public administration forms the backbone of governance and the Indian Administrative Service has
been instrumental in policy formulation and implementation since 1950. While many aspire to join
these prestigious services, success demands rigorous preparation, unwavering perseverance, and
expert guidance.
Established on June 17, 2013, the Pre-IAS Training Centre, Amravati, was founded by the Maharashtra
Government's vision to nurture civil service aspirants from Vidarbha and beyond. What began in
modest classrooms has now blossomed into a state-of-the-art facility within the serene campus of
Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati.
I feel very proud to share that over the past 12 years, this centre has produced 20 officers in the
All-India Services, including 2 IAS, 2 IPS, 9 IRS, 2 IFoS and 4 CAPF officers. Additionally, 39
students have been selected through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, while 51 others have
succeeded in various competitive examinations.
